The country rocks around the 3 Km diameter buried Augathella structure consist Devonian to Cretaceous sediments - Adavale, Galilee and Eromanga sedimentary basins. Surface is covered with Lower Cretaceous Wallumbilla Formation. The feature inferred age is between Devonian and Lower Cretaceous (Klajnik, 2024).
